Podcasts are the future. That’s not hyperbole, and, no, that’s not entirely a fact either, but it’s a notion that’s generally agreed upon by the leading figures of New Media, industry analysts, and advertisers alike. As Wired recently reported, podcast listeners are “a holy grail of engagement,” making the medium not just a bubble, but a boom — “and that boom is only getting louder.”
In keeping with the times, Consequence of Sound formed the Consequence Podcast Network (CPN). Founded in April 2018, the network plans to shift the publication’s 13-year-old brand into the podcast arena with a series of exciting shows that reflect, evolve, and expand Consequence of Sound‘s original content in new and refreshing ways.
Check out our ever-expanding roster of series:
The Opus: Consequence of Sound and Sony bring you an exploration of legendary albums and their ongoing legacy. Explore how masterpieces continue to evolve: shaping lives, shaking rafters, and ingraining itself into our culture. Maybe you’re a longtime fan who wants to go deeper. Maybe you’re a first-time listener curious to hear more – either way, you’re in the right place. The first season of the anthology series covered Bob Dylan’s Blood on the Tracks, while the second season dissected Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland. Stay tuned for who’s next.
